West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach/General Manager Tim Branham announced today that the team has re-signed defensemen Corey Fienhage and Connor Hardowa along with goaltender Eric Levine for the 2015-2016 season.

All three players enter their second year with the team. Fienhage and Levine were both acquired for the playoff run and Hardowa earned an AHL call-up to the Dallas Stars AHL affiliate in Texas during the 2014-2015 season in Utah.

Fienhage, 25, enters his fifth professional season. He led Utah with a plus-11 after being acquired from Bakersfield on January 12 and also had two goals and three assists in 37 games. He appeared in all 11 playoff games for the Grizzlies. For his professional career, in 249 games; 222 in the ECHL and 27 in the AHL, Fienhage is a plus-25 with nine goals and 48 assists. He was selected by Buffalo in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft in the third round and 81st overall.

“Corey came in last year and played a huge role for us,” said Branham.  “He is a presence every time he is on the ice.”

He had five goals and 16 assists for 21 points last year in 55 games with the Grizzlies. He was a two-time member of the Hockey-East All-Academic Team at the University of New Hampshire.

“Connor had a very successful season last year,” said Branham.  “He played in all situations for us and we look forward to his continued success this year.”

Levine, 27, Led Utah goaltenders with a .922 save percentage in 2014-2015, while going 3-1-0 overall and 3-0 in his starts.  He went 1-1 for the Grizzlies in the playoffs with a 1.92 Goals-Against-Average and a .923 save percentage. He made a Utah season-high 45 saves March 28 against Idaho in a 4-3 shootout win at Maverik Center. He is 19-13 in 47 career professional games the last two seasons. Levine was 30-22-11 during his college career at Robert Morris University with a 2.90 Goals-Against-Average and a .924 save percentage.

“Eric is an excellent teammate and he proved his abilities and eagerness to play in big games last year,” said Branham.  “We are very excited to have him back and to see him have even more success this year.”
