Las Vegas, Nevada - The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Utah Grizzlies 3-2 in a shootout Sunday afternoon in Las Vegas.

Utah’s Colin Vock tied the game at two with 2:06 left in the third period on his team leading 28th goal of the year. After several good chances late, Adam Estoclet got the puck to Vock who broke down the Wranglers as he crossed the blueline and backhanded the tying score past Las Vegas goaltender Joe Fallon.

The Grizzlies came from behind for the fifth time in the last eight games to tie a contest in the third period as they extended their season-long unbeaten streak to nine-straight games at 4-0-1-4. Utah has battled back from 13 deficits over the course of the nine-game unbeaten streak.

The Wranglers took a 2-1 lead on a five-on-three power-play goal 9:08 into the third period to break the 1-1 tie that had stood since the third period.

Utah rookie goaltender Ben Meisner stopped 29 of 31 shots for his third start of six with Utah of allowing two goals or less to start his professional career.

After Las Vegas took a 1-0 lead 37 seconds into the contest on their first shot of the night, Utah tied it 8:56 later at 9:33 of the period as Colin Vock led a three-on-one up ice and dropped the puck to Darren Rowe for his first professional goal.

Las Vegas won the shootout 2-0, scoring on their first two shots.

The Grizzlies return home Wednesday, Friday and Saturday to host Colorado. Wednesday is a Wild $2 Wednesday with $2 Hot Dogs, $2 Fries, $2 Soft Drinks and $2 Draft Beers, plus $5 student tickets. Friday and Saturday is Fan Appreciation Weekend, that includes a post-game skate with the team after Saturday’s game for the regular season home finale.
